For such a small town, there sure are a lot of restaurants in Revelstoke. And a lot of good ones at that. Whether you are in the mood for a cafe, casual pub food, fine dining, or something quick (like a food truck) there is definitely somewhere you’ll love. After 6 months of eating my way through most of the restaurants in town (plus talking to others who have eaten in Revelstoke a lot), these are some top picks.
One thing to note about eating out at restaurants in Revelstoke though is that the vast majority of them close early, so be sure to factor that into your plans. After 9pm, you will have very limited choices, and even places that are still open for drinks will typically close their kitchen by 9 or 10pm.
Cafes & Coffee Shops
La Baguette
La Baguette is probably the most famous coffee shop in Revelstoke. There are two locations. One is at the Revelstoke Mountain Resort (known as La Petite Baguette), making it the perfect place to grab breakfast before hitting the slopes. The other is in downtown Revelstoke, near Save-On-Foods, along with the associated deli shop and gourmet grocery store, La Marche.
In the downtown location you’ll find one side with take out pastries, drinks, ready made sandwiches, wraps and Gelato, and the other side with made to order food available for dine-in. Though you are welcome to eat the pastries and stuff inside as well and enjoy the cozy atmosphere.
Recommended Order: My go-to here is either the Brie-L-T bagel or the West Coast bagel, featuring smoked salmon, alfalfa sprouts, and pickled onions, mmmm! Both are on delicious homemade bagels.

Terra Firma’s Kitchen
Terra Firma’s Kitchen is a local favourite, featuring the freshest ingredients straight from their local farm. You can actually drive by their farm, heading South out of town, towards Nakusp (keep your eyes peeled on the right if you are heading to Begbie Falls or Sutherland Falls). You can really taste the difference their local ingredients make, plus you know they are fresh and healthy!
Besides having their own farm, Terra Firma also specializes in all things sourdough. With a different daily sourdough special each day, there is always something delicious to try. The have quite a few tables, both inside and outside on their patio and very friendly staff. Overall, it’s really good vibes here and I always feel welcomed.
Recommended Order: Honestly everything I have tried here has been so good so it’s hard to pick. For that reason, I think I will recommend the half & half, so that you can try a variety of things. You get their daily soup, daily salad, and a slice of their delicious homemade sourdough.

Dose Coffee
Dose Coffee is another great place to start your day. They have a nice sit down area inside, a lovely patio, and walk up service for takeout both inside and outside. They have your usual roundup of coffee shop drinks and snacks, plus some interesting additions worth a try. I have always found everything here, from baked goods to meals and drinks, to be really yummy!
They also have really cool products for sale to browse while you’re waiting in line. There are some interesting books and beautiful local art.
Recommended Order: It sounds a bit boring, but I would highly recommend their breaky sando. I always go for the tofu bacon option and it is truly delicious. As for drinks, if you are looking for something besides coffee, I recommend trying the Sparkling Ginger Wazz.

Conversations
Conversations is yet another great spot for your morning coffee. However, I would recommend them more for lunch than breakfast. Located in the heart of downtown on Mackenzie Ave, conversations is a great place to pop in. I’ve always gotten such friendly service here and felt really welcomed by the charming staff at this cozy cafe.
They have lots of seating, a rotating lunch special every day, and some fun snacks and drinks. They have loads of flavours for Italian sodas, ice coffees, homemade slushies and smoothies. Plus they have a few unique treats on their pastry shelf, like dumpling buns (pictured below) and red bean buns.
Recommended Order: I recommend just going for whatever their lunch special is for the day, they are always delicious and a good deal!

Big Bend Cafe
Big Bend Cafe is a bit unique to this section of the list, as it is more of a restaurant than a coffee shop. In fact, it is one of the few “table service” restaurants in Revelstoke geared towards breakfast food. This makes it the perfect place for your next brunch date!
It really feels like the quintessential small town brunch joint, in vibes, menu, and overall experience, except, maybe busier. They also have another location in Golden, BC.
Recommended Order: I definitely recommend the Huevos Rancheros here, it’s SO good! But as for drink recommendations, I have a “non-recommendation” this time – the smoothies definitely left something to be desired.

Casual Pub Food
Chubby Funsters
Located right downtown in the Grizzly Plaza, Chubby Funsters is the perfect place to listen to live music during the summer season. Every night through July and August from 6:30-9 REVY live Outside hosts music in the Grizzly Patio, and the Chubby Funster’s patio gives you a great view – just come early to get a table as they fill up quick!
And if you don’t get a patio seat, or it’s not summer time, don’t worry, their location isn’t the best thing about them. Their great food is! They also have a great cocktail menu, a cozy interior, and, as a bonus, a different set of salt and pepper shakes at each table!
Recommended Order: For an app, the deep fried cheese curds for sure. For a vegetarian option, the haloumi pita is amazing, I just wish it was a little bigger. But if you’re not vegetarian, you should definitely try one of their interesting (and delicious) burgers, perhaps the PB&J burger, or the bison burger which comes with goat cheese and blueberries on it.

The Village Idiot
The Village Idiot Bar is the sister restaurant to Chubby Funsters Kitchen. They are probably one of the best known restaurants in Revelstoke, and you can’t go wrong here. Highlights include the great big patio and the delicious oven roasted pizzas.
Inside, they definitely have the “ski town restaurant” atmosphere (take that as you will), so they’re a great place to hit up for craft beer and good food after a day on the hill.
Recommended Order: For pizzas, the chicken clubber or the great white Buffalo are great choices. If you are looking for something else, the wasabi salad or the steak sandwich are really good.

Wingin’ It
Located in the Grizz Hotel, and beside the Last Drop Pub, Wingin’ It is one of the newer restaurants to Revelstoke. Unlike most restaurants in downtown Revelstoke, they are actually a franchise, though they are the first in British Columbia. The other, more important, thing that sets them aside is the huge menu. You won’t be short on choices here, that’s for sure.
There are over 90 flavours of wings (of either the chicken or cauliflower variety) and they are definitely the best wings in town. Plus, there are plenty of apps, burgers, quesadillas, flatbreads, salads, etc. Nothing is cheap these days, but overall it seems to be a pretty good bang for your buck here.
Recommended Order: I’d be hard pressed not to recommend the wings. But to be more specific, I’d say go for the sampler platter so you can try more flavours. Some favourites are: Mango Chipotle, Heater, Friendly Fire, Amelia Earhart, Double Ugly, Attaboy, and Airwing. Also the regular breaded, bone in, wings are the best.

Nico’s Pizzeria
It seems to be universally accepted among locals that Nico’s has the best poutine in Revelstoke. As for the best pizza in Revelstoke, that is a more debated topic, but Nico’s is in the running.
Definitely the go to in town for pizza delivery or take out, Nico’s has fast service and good food.
Recommended Order: Besides the poutine, I’d also say the cheesy garlic bread is a must try!

International Food
Kawakubo
Kawakubo almost always seems to come up as when of the best restaurants in Revelstoke among locals, at least if you are talking to a sushi lover. I won’t lie to you, it is a little expensive, but honestly, SO worth it. It’s definitely the best sushi I’ve ever had in a place that isn’t right beside the ocean. And I’ve eaten sushi in quite a few places.
They have lots of options besides just sushi too: salads, soups, and delicious hot dishes.
Recommended Order: Honestly, the Yama Maki roll (with yam and seaweed salad) blew my mind it was so good. But every single roll I have tried from here has been delicious and most people I’ve talked to can say the same.

Sincero Cafe
Sincero Cafe is a Vietnamese restaurant with amazing food and interesting drinks. In the words of one local Revelstokian, “after a long ski day or a night out, a spicy soup from Sincero is the BEST thing.” It is definitely worth checking out.
Their food menu isn’t super lengthy, but every single thing on it is delicious and fresh. Plus, all the options have add-ons so you can make it exactly what you want. And the drinks are excellent as well. I got a bit adventurous and tried the Guava Coconut Jelly juice. It did not disappoint.
Recommended Order: It’s hard to pick between recommending the pho soup or the banh mi sandwich, so I guess I’ll just recommend both! And if you are vegetarian, the veggie versions are so good too!

Seoul Street Pub
First of all, this is an excellent name for a Korean pub and restaurant, so kudos to them for that. Secondly, the food is delicious. And thirdly, the vibes are very cool. Can you tell I like this place? They have a slick set up, with fun lights, a large bar, plenty of tables + booths, and a small room for pool tables and other games in the back.
Seoul Street is also a newer restaurant in Revelstoke, and it seems to have taken off really well. It is located across the street from The Revelstoke Museum. Between it’s unique vibes and the fact that it is the only Korean restaurant in town, it has certainly been a fun addition to town and is worth checking out.
Recommended Order: The Pajeon is a Korean pancake. It’s something I had never tried before but it’s very delicious!

The Taco Club
Honestly, with my love of tacos, burritos and bowls, I will always have a sweet spot for a good Mexican restaurant. And the Taco Club is just that. It all tastes like real, fresh food too.
They have a build your own meal kind of situation, where you pick a format to have your meal in (tacos, burrito, bowl, enchiladas), a filling and a side. This is great because you can get exactly what you want, depending on how hungry you are!
Recommended Order: I am a sucker for fish or shrimp tacos, so that will almost always be my pick. But they also usually have an interesting option for their rotating weekly vegetable so that could be worth trying. Also the tortilla soup is really good.

Paramjit’s Kitchen
Okay, if you’re looking for something truly unique, this might be perfect for you. Have you ever heard of an Indian German Thai fusion restaurant? I sure hadn’t, but I’m glad I have now.
The story I’ve heard (word of mouth, so don’t quote me on this) is that the head chef is from Indian and trained in culinary arts in Germany. But whatever the story, the combos definitely work well.
You can also find straight Indian food from the same people at the farmer’s market every Saturday morning, and it’s soooo good. Look for Pam’s Kitchen. I got it most weeks I was in Revelstoke.
Recommended Order: Butter Chicken Schnitzel with Spätzle. Enough said.

Fine Dining
Old School Eatery
Set inside the old Mountain View School, the Old School Eatery definitely has a unique vibe. They define themselves as “sophisticated comfort food” and after eating there, I would say they meet the mark pretty well. They have some very interesting foods, served beautifully on the plates.
It’s the perfect combination between fancy, unique, and comfortable to make it the perfect resturant for a special occasion, or just an evening out on a trip to Revelstoke!
Recommended Order: The crispy brussels sprouts with pomegranate and the chicken burger!

The Quartermaster Eatery
If you are looking for truly upscale dining, The Quartermaster Eatery is probably your best bet. With outstanding service, and locally sourced food, The Quartermaster Eatery is the perfect place for a special occasion. Or just to treat yourself to a fancy night out!
They also tend to have some fun events, like yoga and mimosas or a rooftop BBQ night, so definitely keep an eye on their Facebook page too.
Recommended Order: To be honest this is the one restaurant on this list I have never eaten at. But I have heard good things and wanted a fancier option on here, so I included it anyway. That said, I don’t have a recommendation.

Food Trucks & Quick Eats
Twilight Bite
The Twilight Bite is a Japanese style food truck that parks in the Grizzly Plaza. So, like Chubby Funsters Kitchen, mentioned earlier on this list, they are a perfect choice for the live music nights in the summer. They are quick and delicious and specialise in wraps and bowls.
Recommended Order: First of all, the apple cinnamon spring rolls are to die for. But before you get to that, I’d recommend the Kara-age rice bowl.

The Lucky Pup
Another great food truck in Revelstoke, The Lucky Pup serves Vietnamese food. We’re talking bahn mi sandwiches, bao bun sliders, and noodle bowls. Again, all quick and delicious!
The Lucky Pup moves around more than the other food trucks, so you might want to check out their facebook page. But their usual places are the Grizzly Plaza, Big Eddy Glassworks, and the Saturday morning Farmer’s Market.
Recommended Order: Honestly, anything. I like the noodle bowls.

Tamariba Kitchen
I feel like a broken record here, but Tamariba Kitchen is also a great food truck. They are located by the Legion and serve sushi, bowls, and salad. Everything here tastes fresh and delicious and honestly the potion to price ratio is really good too.
Recommended Order: One of the Poke bowls for sure, they are so good. And a pretty good size too, even if you go for the small (which is what is pictured).

Bowl’d
If you are looking for healthy, good quality, fast food, then Bowl’d is a great spot to go! One of the newer restaurants in town, Bowl’d has been a great edition. It is a little out of the way of, downtown Revelstoke (not that the town is big enough for that to be a big deal), but it’s perfect if you are heading out of town, staying at one of the Revelstoke hotels near the highway, or on your way to the beach.
They have some set bowls to inspire you, or you can make your own, with lots of protein and fresh topping choices.
Recommended Order: I love doing a build your own poke bowl here so I can get exactly what I want, and their poke sauce is delicious!
